Sackhoff Might Stick Around On ‘CSI’
1 min readCSI Files previously reported that Katee Sackhoff has an upcoming guest stint on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Executive producer Carol Mendelsohn is hoping the actress will remain on the show after her initial appearance. (Minor spoilers after the jump!)
Sackhoff will play Detective Frankie Reed, and the character will experience conflict with the CSI team. She will start with one episode, and she has the potential to become a recurring guest star. “Katee’s filming an episode right now, and hopefully an arc, and maybe more than that,” Mendelsohn told TVGuide.com. “My fingers are crossed that it could turn into something more. We have to wait and see.”
“I’ve found that things that are meant to be work themselves out when they’re supposed to,” she continued. “You can’t force it. It was just the perfect time. We had this idea for a great character and the second we started talking about this new detective we said, ‘Katee!'” Mendelsohn added that Sackhoff is having fun on CSI: “She’s really happy.”
