‘New York’ Wins The Hour, ‘Blue Bloods’ Wins The Night
1 min readCSI: New York debuted on its new night and time Friday, September 24 at 9:00pm ET/PT, followed by brand new lead-out series Blue Bloods. New York’s season seven premiere “The 34th Floor” won the 9:00pm hour with 10.28 million viewers and a 2.0 rating/7 share in the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers. This put it ahead of second-place Dateline, which had 7.94 million viewers and 1.9/6 from 9:00-10:00pm. A repeat of The Whole Truth was third in viewers with 2.91 million, followed by the season two premiere of The Good Guys (2.90 million) on Fox and the relocated CW series Supernatural (2.79 million). In the key demo, Supernatural was third with 1.2/4, followed by Good Guys (0.9/3) and Whole Truth (0.7/2).
At 10:00pm, the series premiere of Blue Bloods earned the highest ratings of the night with 12.81 million viewers and 2.2/7 among adults 18-49. It built out of CSI: NY with 2.53 million viewers and 10% in the key demo.
