Belknap Takes The Spotlight In The ‘New York’ Premiere
1 min readThe season seven premiere of CSI: New York will show fans how Lindsay Monroe (Anna Belknap) is dealing with the aftermath of last season’s cliffhanger finale. (Minor spoilers after the jump!)
CSI Files previously reported that the premiere, “The 34th Floor”, will pick up where the season six finale left off. From there, executive producer Pam Veasey told Fancast the episode will work to showcase “what Lindsay is dealing with and going through” in the wake of Shane’s presence in the Messer home. “It speaks to Lindsay and who she’s become, and how valuable family is to her,” Veasey added.
Lindsay’s husband Danny Messer (Carmine Giovinazzo) will also be affected by what happened in the finale, but he will take on a supportive role when season seven gets underway. “Obviously, he’s kind of shaken up by it,” Giovinazzo said, “but he’s the rock for Lindsay right now. She’s the one that seems to need the support.”
In other family news, Veasey said New York was hoping to include Don Flack’s (Eddie Cahill) sister Sam (Kathleen Munroe) in a storyline last season, but they couldn’t make it happen due to the actress’s flourishing career. “We tried to bring her back in a recent episode, and couldn’t work out the schedule,” Veasey explained. “But we will definitely try again.”
