Helgenberger Stands Up To Cancer

Marg Helgenberger (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation‘s Catherine Willows) will participate in the upcoming Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) primetime television event on Friday, September 10.

Helgenberger participated in SU2C’s 2008 television event, and she’s one of a number of celebrities taking part in the fundraising programme this year. The one hour broadcast will air live and commercial-free on ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, Bio, Discovery Health, E!, G4, HBO, HBO Latino, MLB Network, mun2, Showtime, Smithsonian Channel, The Style Network, TV One, and VH1 at 8:00pm EST & PST / 7:00pm CT. It will be hosted by CBS, ABC and NBC’s evening news anchors Katie Couric, Diane Sawyer, and Brian Williams.

SU2C’s goal is to raise money in order to fund cancer research and save lives. Some of the celebrities scheduled to attend include Christina Applegate, Lance Armstrong, Michael C Hall, Seth MacFarlane, Diane Sawyer, Alyson Hannigan, Eric Stonestreet, Apolo Anton Ohno, Queen Latifah, Sally Field and Jim Parsons.
