CSI Files previously reported that the details of Eddie Cibrian‘s departure from CSI: Miami remained up in the air. However, the fate of Jesse Cardoza is no longer a mystery. (Spoilers after the jump!)

When Miami‘s ninth season begins in its new timeslot on Sunday, October 3 at 10:00pm ET/PT, fans will learn that Jesse was murdered. “He was killed by a guy we’ve been after for a little while,” Adam Rodriguez (Eric Delko) revealed to Fancast.
