‘Miami’ Finale Features Pelican Song ‘The Creeper’
1 min readCSI: Miami‘s season eight finale airs tonight, May 24, and “All Fall Down” will include the song “The Creeper” from Chicago band Pelican. (Minor spoilers after the jump!)
“We were approached by the network,” guitarist Trevor de Brauw told Noisecreep. “We haven’t seen the clips, just a plot synopsis, but as it involves investigating someone’s death by drowning and the cover art of our most recent album has a body of water on it, we can’t imagine a more fitting soundtrack.”
“After years of [guitarist] Laurent [Schroeder-Lebec] confounding our expectations by namedropping network crime shows as a primary influence on his songwriting—he often writes riffs while watching TV—it makes total sense that our first invitation to prime time television would be in the service of the very TV genre that might been seen as having given birth to the sound,” de Brauw continued. “Hopefully next time we can get a jam into Law & Order: SVU with a guest vocal spot by Ice-T.”
