Lenkov Prepares To ‘Book ’em, Danno’

As CSI Files previously reported, executive producer Peter Lenkov is leaving CSI: New York to helm the new CBS remake of Hawaii Five-0. “CBS asked if I’d be interested in coming up with a new take on the series,” Lenkov told The Suburban. “It was my dad’s favorite show. That’s primarily why I took the gig.”

The series will star Alex O’Loughlin (Moonlight, Three Rivers) as Detective Steve McGarrett, Daniel Dae Kim (Lost) as Chin Ho Kelly and Scott Caan as Detective Danny “Danno” Williams. But can fans expect to hear O’Loughlin’s character utter the famous line, “Book ’em, Danno” on a regular basis? “Of course,” Lenkov promised.
