USA Buys Rights To ‘CSI’
1 min readAs of December 2009, USA Network has non-exclusive rights to air the first ten seasons of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Starting in the fall of 2011, the network will have exclusive rights to seasons 11 and beyond. Spike TV airs off-network episodes of the series, but their contract runs out in 2014—at which time the entire NBC Universal portfolio (including USA Network) will have exclusive rights to CSI episodes.
“We’re proud to add one of the most successful television series of the last 20 years to our programming slate,” said USA’s executive vice president of program acquisitions and scheduling, Jane Blaney. USA Network will reportedly pay $500,000 per episode.
