‘WWII In HD’ Scores Big Ratings For History Channel
1 min readCSI Files previously reported that WWII in HD, narrated by Gary Sinise (CSI: New York‘s Mac Taylor), earned 2.6 million viewers for the History Channel for its premiere. The 10-hour series aired over five consecutive nights and earned an average of 2.4 million viewers. According to History Channel officials, more than 24.1 million people viewed some portion of the series. WWII in HD earned an average of 840,000 viewers among adults 18-49 and 970,000 viewers among adults 25-54 over the course of the week.
Compared to its usual primetime programming, WWII in HD earned 100% more viewers for the History Channel (which pulls in 1.2 million viewers on average) during its run. The network also saw a 55% increase in the 18-49 demo (542,000) and 64% more adults aged 25-54 (593,000).
