Sinise Receives ‘Patriot Award’
1 min readCSI: New York leading man Gary Sinise (Mac Taylor) was awarded the 2009 Operation Troop Aid “Patriot Award” for his work with members of the American Armed Forces. “I am honored to receive this great award,” Sinise said. “I am just doing what I love to do – supporting our brave men and women who give their lives for our freedom.”
Operation Troop Aid is a nonprofit organization that supports deployed United States soldiers. Sinise was given the Eagle Trophy for visiting troops overseas and in local hospitals, raising money for military charities and increasing awareness for deployed military members by serving as executive producer for the documentary Brothers at War.
