Stevens Is ‘The First One In & The Last One Out’
1 min readSet medic Jeffrey D Stevens has been working full time for CSI: Crime Scene Investigation since the show began in 2000. “I thought it would be great,” he shared. “I’d use it as a filler until my next movie came up. Wow, it’s almost 10 years later!”
“The set medic is the first one in and the last out,” Stevens explained. “We’re here for the cast and crew – everything from Bayer Aspirin to heart attacks.” The medic cart is a popular place for cast and crew to spend downtime on the set. “People hang out and talk to the medic (seeking advice) like they would to a bartender,” he said.
Several years ago, Stevens started stepping in front of the camera to play a paramedic. He’s appeared in five episodes of CSI, most recently last season’s “The Gone Dead Train”, as well as the CSI: New York episode “Buzzkill”. The medic-turned-actor will add another CSI episode to his resume on November 5.
