Franchise Gains Millions Of Viewers With 7 Day Playback
1 min readAs CSI Files previously reported, all three members of the CSI franchise were expected to receive record increases in season premiere viewing numbers when live +7 day DVR playback results were added.
During the week of the season premiere, all three series experienced gains. CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (“Family Affair”) gained 2.22 million viewers, 1 extra rating point in the important 18-49 demographic and 1.1 extra rating points among adults 25-54. CSI: Miami (“Out of Time”) gained 1.90 million viewers, 0.7 in the 18-49 demo and 0.8 in the 25-54 demo. CSI: New York (“Epilogue”) gained 1.40 million viewers, 0.6 among adults 18-49 and 0.5 among adults 25-54.
Week two of the season found the CSI franchise experiencing similar gains when live +7 day DVR ratings were taken into account. CSI (“Ghost Town”) added 2.31 million viewers, 1.1 in the 18-49 demo and 1.2 among adults 25-54 for the week. Miami‘s (“Hostile Takeover”) ratings increased by 1.53 million viewers, 0.5 among adults 18-49 and 0.7 points for the 25-54 demo. New York (“Blacklist”) had an extra 1.49 million viewers, 0.5 in the 18-49 demo and 0.7 among adults 25-54.
