‘Bolt Action’, ‘LAT 40° 47′ N/Long 73° 58’W’ & ‘Working Stiffs’ Official Details

The franchise airs three new episodes this week, including trouble for one CSI, the debut of a serial killer and a casino robbery that turns into murder. Official plot details and cast lists after the jump.

Starting out the week on Monday at 10:00pm ET/PT, CSI: Miami finds one team member’s career on the line in “Bolt Action”:

Three volleyball players mysteriously drop dead on the court while Calleigh’s testimony against Delko threatens his future as a CSI.

Gina Lamar has directed seven previous episodes of Miami, including season seven’s “Dead on Arrival”. This is Melissa Scrivner‘s first writing credit for the show.

“Bolt Action” will feature the following guest stars:

This episode marks the beginning of Omar Benson Miller’s series regular role, and Christian Clemenson is making his first of at least two planned appearances as medical examiner Tom Loman. David Lee Smith is reprising his recurring role as Rick Stetler. Kate Lang Johnson was in the season two episode “Rap Sheet”. John Terry was in the latest episode of CSI: New York, “Blacklist (Featuring Gravedigger)”. The other actors are new to the franchise.

On Wednesday at 10:00pm ET/PT, the CSI: New York team gets its first look at a new serial killer in “LAT 40° 47′ N/Long 73° 58’W”:

When two bodies are discovered at the North and South ends of the city, Mac and the team deftly begin to navigate the trail of evidence left behind by the killer.

This is the third time Matt Earl Beesley has directed an episode of CSI: NY. His latest credit is for “No Good Deed”. Trey Callaway has six previous writing credits for the show, including last season’s “Communication Breakdown”.

Sarah Carter is reprising her role as Haylen Becall, and Skeet Ulrich is making his first appearance in a planned three-episode arc. James Martin Kelly played Detective Jessica Angell’s (Emmanuelle Vaugier) father in the season five finale, “Pay Up”. Josie Davis was in the Miami episode “Money for Nothing” during the show’s second season. Benjamin Benitez has appeared on both Miami (“Silencer”) and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (“Lady Heather’s Box”).

Rounding out the week on Thursday at 9:00pm ET/PT, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation investigates the case of a robbery gone wrong in “Working Stiffs”:

When two office mates plot to rob a casino, their plan ends with the CSIs investigating a murder.

“Working Stiffs” was written and directed by executive producer Naren Shankar. Shankar has 42 writing credits for the show, including the season ten premiere, “Family Affair”, but this is his first time directing an episode of the series.

Archie Kao is reprising an established recurring role in the lab, and Larry Sullivan and Joseph Patrick Kelly are back as Officer Akers and Officer Metcalf. Tracy Middendorf appeared in the season three episode “Lucky Strike”. Alyson Reed was in “Jackpot” during season four. Tom Virtue was in “Random Acts of Violence”, and he also guest-starred in the Miami episode “Tunnel Vision”. Toni Wynne has also appeared on both CSI (“Family Affair” and “Inside the Box”) and Miami (“Down to the Wire”). Matt Doherty appeared in the Miami episode “Chain Reaction”, and Wayne Knight was in “Fare Game” during New York‘s second season.

“Bolt Action”, “LAT 40° 47′ N/Long 73° 58’W” and “Working Stiffs” begin airing October 5 on CBS.
