These deals are to die for.
According to CSI Files sources, the twelfth episode of CSI: New York will be called "Help". Marie Lowe is at a wedding gown sale, and it's a hectic scene. Women are running around, grabbing designer dresses before anybody else can get the one they want. Marie crawls out from underneath a rack with her chosen dress, clutching it to her chest.
Suddenly, a woman lunges toward her. Laurel Downs yells that what Marie has belongs to her. Marie insists that she found the dress first and tries to run, but Laurel grabs hold of the gown. As Marie yanks it from her, the crystals on the bodice of the dress slice into Laurel's arm. Blood gushes everywhere and Marie panics, yelling for help.
Help doesn't come quickly enough for Laurel, and the dress sale goes from chaos to crime scene. Stella and Danny document the scene as Flack speaks with Marie Lowe. She's clearly shaken up and says she never meant to hurt the woman. She'd never even seen her before. As Marie's fiancé walks up, Flack goes to speak to the two CSIs.
Laurel is wearing sweaty clothes and seems more prepared to go for a jog than to fight over designer wedding dresses. Flack shows them the woman's hip pack, which contains power bars and ID. She didn't have any money with her--if she was there to buy a dress, why didn't she have a way to pay for it?
Meanwhile, a young woman is found dead in her apartment. Sid Hammerback recognizes her as a musician who would play the guitar near his stop on the subway. He laments that he never stopped to listen more closely and that he didn't know her name before she wound up on his autopsy table. An examination reveals that the woman, Eleanor Ravelle, had been raped. This victim brings up the past for Hawkes. He reconnects with Kara Garland, an ex-girlfriend who had been raped nine years before. It seems the man who hurt her is the same one who attacked Eleanor.
