Vanessa Ferlito (Aiden Burn) has been cast in the new feature film Gridiron Gang.

The actress will join Wayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Pimp My Ride's Xzibit in the dramatic film that was inspired by real-life events at a juvenile detention center. The details of Ferlito's character have not yet been announced.

Gridiron Gang is based on a real-life story about a detention camp probation officer at a juvenile center that creates a football team from the dangerous detainees. The story was adapted from the 1993 Emmy Award-winning documentary by Lee Stanley and Linda Stanley. Gridiron Gang was written by Jeff Maguire and is being directed by Phil Joanou.

Although the casting of Ferlito has not been officially been announced, producers have sent out a casting notice looking for a stand-in for the CSI: New York actress. Ferlito was seen this year in the comedy Man of the House, which starred Tommy Lee Jones, and will next appear in Shadowboxer alongside Cuba Gooding Jr.
