The break is over, and Horatio is back at the top of the heap.
On Monday, the first post-strike episode of CSI: Miami easily won the 10:00pm hour. Miami had 15.54 million viewers in the first half-hour, rising to 16.12 million in the second half of the episode. In the crucial 18-49 demographic, the forensic drama pulled in a 4.7 rating/12 share at 10:00pm, increasing to 4.9/13 at 10:30pm. Medium came in second with an average of 8.82 million viewers and a score in the 18-49 demo that rose from 2.9/7 in the first half-hour to 3.0/8 in the second half.
CSI: New York's repeat on Wednesday came in second to a new episode of Law and Order with 7.46 million to Law's 8.05 million overall viewers. In the 18-49 demo, New York trailed with 1.8/5 to Law's 2.4/6. New York will battle Law and Order with a new episode next week.
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation was pre-empted for the first day of the 2008 NCAA Basketball, Regional Semi-Finals. The game earned CBS the second place spot with 9.75 million viewers and a score of 3.8/10 for the 18-49 demographic, putting it behind the season finale of Celebrity Apprentice (12.08 million viewers and 4.5/12 from 9:00pm-11:00pm). CSI will return to its timeslot next week with a new post-strike episode.
