First ‘Meet Market’ Plot Details Revealed

November 30, 2006 - 1:26 AM

According to CSI Files sources, “Meet Market” will open with open with wealthy home builder, Bill Riley, sitting on the ground, back against his Mercedes, sobbing. Brass questions him. Riley claims he returned home from a business trip early to surprise his wife, Margo.

Margo was found dead inside the couple’s expensive MacDonald Ranch house, bludgeoned to death with a bottle of “Neverland” champagne. She was dressed up, as if she’d been out for the evening.

A pink synthetic hair is found on Margo’s body, leading Sara, Catherine and Warrick to a stripper named Cotton Candy at the Double Trouble Cabaret. Cotton Candy admits to knowing the victim and admits to having gotten in a fight with her the night she was killed. Margo Riley was getting too friendly with Cotton Candy’s fiancé, Jesse Hottman.

Hottman works as a “host” at the Double Trouble Cabaret. When women go to the Double Trouble, they are met with an upstairs environment different from the strip club Cotton Candy works at. The upstairs is an intimate setting where women select men out of a “meet book” and pay to meet the men and have “relationships” with them. Hosts are paid by the bottle. There’s a two bottle minimum, with prices ranging from fifty dollars to five thousand dollars. When Sara wonders what a five thousand dollar bottle of champagne taste like, she learns the price is based on the host – not the champagne. The club serves only one brand of champagne. Neverland.

Sara questions Hottman. He is a handsome and charming host, in demand by the ladies. He maintains twenty-five relationships at any time. Margo Riley was one of his relationships. He denies having left the club with Margo and insists Cotton Candy wasn’t jealous enough to kill Margo.

Catherine and Brass bring Cotton Candy in for interrogation. Cotton Candy claims to have been in the VIP room all night with a married pit boss named Joe Brodsky. She thinks he’ll deny it, so gives Catherine a stack of fresh hundred dollar bills Brodsky used to pay her. She tells Catherine to get prints from them.

“Meet Market” is expected to air on the 28st of December, 2006.
