Bid To Chat With David Caruso

By Caillan
October 30, 2004 - 10:33 AM

CSI: Miami fans can win the chance to talk on the phone with star David Caruso (Horatio Caine) as part of a charity auction.

The phonecall is one of several CSI-related items going under the hammer this weekend to benefit the Golden Retriever Club of Greater Los Angeles Rescue. The minimum bid to chat with Caruso for ten minutes is $150.00, with the online auction scheduled to close at 9:00 p.m. PST on Sunday, October 31.

Alliance Atlantis, the co-producer of CSI, has donated VIP visits to the set of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (minimum bid: $500), CSI: Miami and CSI: New York (minimum bids: $300). The highest bidders will be able to meet cast members who are on set the day of their visit and watch scenes being filmed. The company has also donated a CSI goodie bag, including a t-shirt, hat and script signed by William Petersen (Gil Grissom).

Other items up for grabs include visits to the sets of The West Wing and NYPD Blue, Los Angeles Lakers tickets, a health and beauty package, and a home visit from a librarian who will help you unlock the secrets of the "invisible web".

Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Golden Retriever Club of Greater Los Angeles Rescue, a charitable organisation which takes in homeless golden retrievers from animal shelters or families who can no longer take care of them and endeavours to find them new homes.

In related news, AllAboutMarg.com is planning to donate gifts to charity to celebrate Marg Helgenberger's (Catherine Willows) birthday on November 16.

The web site is currently raising money for items to be donated to the Penny Lane organisation, which provides services for children who "have been abused, neglected or who have emotional problems." The charity recently thanked Helgenberger and her husband, Alan Rosenberg, for their support by presenting them with the Penny Lane Blue Skies Award.
