While all three shows in the CSI franchise led in overall viewers, CSI: Miami was the only one to win the crucial 18-49 demographic.

On Monday, CBS came in second in average overall viewers (12.2 million to ABC's 15.4 million) and third in the 18-49 demographic, but CSI: Miami won both for its timeslot. The premiere earned 14.8 million viewers overall, which is down 20% from the totals last year. Despite losing in viewers from year to year, Miami did triumph over the competition in the 18-49 demographic, earning a 4.6 rating/12 share.

ABC boasted the two highest premieres of the season on Wednesday with Bionic Woman and Private Practice. In the 10:00pm hour, CSI: New York won in overall viewers with 12.72 million viewers, but this total was down three million from the premiere a year ago. New York lost to NBC in the crucial 18-49 demographic with 3.7/10 against Life's 4.0/11. At the half-hour, New York moved to the lead in both 18-49 and 25-54, and the show is expected to win the hour overall next week.

The premiere of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation was the most watched program on Thursday and increased in all key demographics over last season's premiere. The show drew in 24.8 million viewers overall, helping CBS to win the night. Grey's Anatomy beat out CSI in the 18-49 demographic with 8.8/21 over CSI's 8.0/19, but CSI did manage an unusual win in the 25-54 demographic (9.7/21 to 9.1/20).
