Football Outkicks 'CSI: Miami' In Overnights

CSI: Miami brought in excellent overnight numbers for "Dead Zone", but they were not enough to allow CBS to beat ABC and Monday Night Football's ratings.
According to Mediaweek's Programming Insider, "Dead Zone" earned a 13.1 rating/20 share, one of its highest overnight scores of 2003, a. This means that on Monday night, approximately 13.1% of American households with television sets were tuned to CSI: Miami, and 20% of households watching television at the time had the new episode on the screen..
The Green Bay Packers/Chicago Bears game on ABC earned a 13.8/19 in primetime. CBS finished four percent below.
CSI: Miami lead-in Two and a Half Men lost 14 percent of its audience from its premiere last week. Yet the show finished 42 percent ahead of NBC's Third Watch.
