  • A video of Gary Sinise (Mac Taylor) and his Lt. Dan Band performing the CSI: New York theme song "Baba O'Reilly" at the Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany can now be found on the band's web site.

  • Issue 17 of the British CSI: The DVD Collection magazine will be the first one to feature Jim Brass on the cover, along with articles on blood splatter analysis, the trajectory kit, and cold-blooded killers. To spice up the deal, the mag also comes with the episodes "Ellie" and "Organ Grinder" on DVD.

  • Trading cards publisher Strictly Ink has announced the winners of its recent CSI contest, one of whom won a script signed by William Petersen (Gil Grissom), and the other a letter signed by Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows).

  • Melinda Clarke, who played Lady Heather on the original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, landed at #7 on the E! special 50 Wicked Women.

  • The Wall Street Journal recently ran an article on how old asylums are increasingly being converted to apartment complexes. The article, a reprinted version of which can be found on DavidCarusoFans.com, noted that one of these buildings was so intimidating, it was used as the setting for the horror film Section 9, starring David Caruso (Horatio Caine). "It's the scariest building in North America," Caruso said. "It was always scary, and you could really feel the pain of the people that were at [the asylum.]"

  • CSI: Miami showrunner Ann Donahue was quoted in a recent Hollywood Reporter article on super-producer Steven Bochco (Hill Street Blues, NYPD Blue, Over There). Donahue worked with Bochco on Murder One, and praised his self-confidence: "He's a guy who doesn't tap dance. He's simple, straight and honest, and he demands the same from the people he deals with. That combination of calm confidence and brilliant storytelling is what got him where he is. That, and he's never forgotten his roots. He's this mega-big producer with his own building, but he's still the 21-year-old kid fresh out of Carnegie-Mellon who landed on the Universal lot. He still believes that at the end of the day, we're all just storytellers." Thanks go out to Al Forno for this!

  • Spike TV has announced that on Labor Day (September 5) the network will run a CSI marathon, showing the season premieres and finales of seasons one through four, as well as a sneak peek at season five, which begins its run on the cable network a day later.

  • And DavidCarusoFans.com has posted several promotional photos of the CSI: Miami actor from his 1984 film First Olympics: Athens 1896.

  • JustAdam.net has five new photos of Adam Rodriguez (Eric Delko) participating in the Keith Bulluck Celebrity Basketball Game on the 13th of June, 2004.

  • At least it's something! There's no new footage yet, but CBS's promo for Monday's CSI: Miami rerun of "Pirated" makes the first mention of the new season, claiming that the "buzz" is already starting, and promising "jaw-dropping entertainment" for next year. You can watch the trailer on the official CBS site.

  • Max Allan Collins' CSI novel "Binding Ties" will be released in the Netherlands on Monday, under the name "Oud Zeer."
