- CSI: Crime Scene Investigation executive producer Naren Shankar is an "aspiring vegetarian" who hasn't had turkey for several years, according to his wife Cheri. The pair dined at the vegan restaurant Madeleine Bistro in the San Fernando Valley on Thanksgiving. In the past, Cheri would make her husband watch a video from a turkey processing plant before he ate the traditional bird for Thanksgiving. "I was really pushing him -- he was eating meat, everything," Shankar said. "I felt like, 'What kind of animal advocate am I if I can't get my husband to be a vegetarian?' Then one day he said, 'Guess what, honey? I'm off pork and beef.'"
