- Starting next fall, A&E might start airing CSI: Miami episodes five days a week. The network recently bought the rights to syndicate the popular HBO series The Sopranos, which might take on Miami's featured spot in the network's schedule. An official announcement by A&E regarding the schedule shift has not been made.
- Gary Dourdan (Warrick Brown) and Aisha Tyler (Mia Dickerson) will be two of the many celebrities to present at the 19th Annual Soul Train Awards. The show will be syndicated on March 12th on the Tribune Entertainment Company Distribution.
- Screen caps of "Big Middle" are now available at Erica's CSI Caps.
- Robert David Hall (Dr. Al Robbins) will present the city of Pasadena, California, the $25,000 top prize at the Accessible America Contest, to be taken place this coming Wednesday. The city will receive the top honor for its design of programs, services and facilities accessible for visitors and residents with disabilities. The contest will be sponsored by the by the National Organization on Disability (N.O.D.), of which Hall is a member of.
- Miami Style has been updated with screen caps of last week's 90-minute episode, "Nothing To Lose".
- According to police recruiters in Louisiana, the number of applicants seeking police jobs has lowered due in part to CSI's popularity. Since the show premiered, more and more people are expressing interest on working in specialized law enforcement fields, leaving police academies in desperate need of students.
- Science teachers around the country hope that television shows like CSI will help spark a science interest in students. Apple Valley teacher Harold Kennedy thinks science knowledge is not only beneficiary in science class, but will also help students in every day situations. "Understanding the scientific method can help students on tests. They can stop and analyze a question and use the method to solve the questions they don't have answers for."
