Echikunwoke Brings 'Savvy And Humor' To 'Miami'

A young medical examiner heads to Miami.

CSI: Miami will debut its new coroner, Dr Tara Price, in the second episode of the upcoming seventh season. Megalyn Echikunwoke has been chosen to play the latest addition to Miami's cast. Dr Price is replacing Alexx Woods (Khandi Alexander), who may return to the show for guest appearances.

"Megalyn Echikunwoke is an exciting addition to CSI: Miami," executive producer Ann Donahue said in a press release. "She brings savvy and humor to her role of Dr Tara Price, a young medical examiner whose methods are on the cutting edge of technology."

Dr Price was originally going to be a recurring character. However, the role will now be a full-time gig for Echikunwoke. Her previous credits include The 4400, Supernatural and ER.
