• Michael Sainsbury at The Australian has posted his review of next week's CSI episode down under, "The Accused Is Entitled".

  For the legions of fans, like me, this episode, The Accused is Entitled, shows CSI has lost none of its glib, slick and shiny pizazz – and a talent for the most twisted of twists.

  CSI vacillates between episodes with multi-strand plots, usually two different crimes intercut throughout the show, and episodes such as this one, where the whole team is focused on one major crime. The latter are far more satisfying and for the newcomer, this is a great starter episode.

• Wanda De Jesus (CSI: Miami's Adell Sevilla) will be appearing at a concert to honour musician Tito Puente on April 21, according to a press release. The event will be held at the Avery Fisher Hall in New York's Lincoln Center from 8:00 - 10:00 p.m.

• In an article entitled "C.S.I.: Crime Scene Iraq" at PopPolitics.com, Thomas P. Joyner examines television's obsession with forensic science and its relevance to the current Iraq crisis.

• According to a report at Kansas.com, CSI is only one of three drama series to rate among the top 25 shows watched by teens, coming in at number 12. The series was number 1 on the overall list.

• Emily Procter (Calleigh Duquesne) attended an autism benefit in San Jose recently, according to Mercury News. The West Wing's Bradley Whitford and Malcolm in the Middle's Jane Kaczmarek were among the other celebrites present at the event, which raised $700,000. Thanks to Tyler Volz for this!

• An article at the Journal-Sentinel compares "more conventional" dramas such as CSI with arc-based shows like 24.
