Diddy Does 'Miami'

It's nice to be on the other side of the law.
Sean 'Diddy' Combs spoke to CBS and told them he'd like to play a lawyer on one of the CSI shows. The network gave him a call "25 hours later, [saying] they were going to write me a part into CSI: Miami. It was truly a blessing," Combs told MTV News. He explained that he's playing a defense attorney opposite Horatio Caine (David Caruso). "The scene I am shooting today is myself and David," he said. "We have a lot of confrontation. I'm like his nemesis."
"I play this lawyer, almost all the time I get everyone off. It's like, I set up one of my clients to get off one of my other clients, but nobody's sure if I'm a good guy or a bad guy," Combs said. "[There's] a lot of that going back and forth with every one of the actors that are on CSI: Miami," he continued. "Every actor, I'm really like their nemesis. Just playing a lawyer I had a great time." The final scene in his first episode sets up for his second appearance on the show.
Several days before, Combs shot a courtroom scene and said it was "a better feeling" than being the defendant during his own legal troubles a few years ago. "I'm blessed to have this opportunity," he explained. The rapper-turned-actor went on to say, "I wanted to keep on studying and learning; working with great actors, directors, great shows. I've never done a television drama. I've always wanted to play a lawyer. I didn't want to play, like, a rap artist or a criminal."
