Buckley: It Could Be Any One Of Us

AJ Buckley (Adam Ross) said he does not know which member of the CSI: New York team will die in the season five finale.

CSI Files previously reported that a member of the New York cast would be killed within the first ten minutes of the finale. However, Buckley said he has no clue which character will die. "Literally, when I found out that something was going down, I didn't sleep that night," the actor told TV Guide. "The god's honest truth is that none of us know [who is being killed off]. We have no idea."

"Not one person" knows, Buckley continued. "We have all been buzzing on the set, 'Who is getting killed?' It's created so much anxiety! It could be any one of us. I'm terrified to open up the [season finale] script when we get it in a couple weeks."

Finding out who is dying will be an emotional moment, the actor revealed. "This is such a family, it will be devastating to see anybody go," Buckley said. "No joke, I will cry, I'll be so bummed."

Leading up to the season finale, the New York team has other developments in store. Lindsay Monroe (Anna Belknap) and Danny Messer (Carmine Giovinazzo) will be expecting their first child before the season ends. "Adam's sort of childlike anyway about anything, so he's very excited — and probably nervous for them, as well," Buckley said of his character's feelings about the baby and about his colleagues becoming parents. However, Buckley revealed that Adam would not be named as honorary godfather for Danny and Lindsay's baby. "I am not, but there is an honorary," he said. "I can't tell you who, though!"

As for Adam himself, Buckley said he has enjoyed seeing his character develop during season five. "I've really been excited with where they've taken Adam this year. They're sort of peeling the layers back," the actor shared. He continued, "Honestly, every time I read a script, he gets a bit more defined. He's coming into his own. He's going from being that nervous, wide-eyed guy to asserting him as an actual CSI team member."

Buckley also discussed his role in the CW series Supernatural. He appeared in two past episodes of the show as one of the "Ghostfacers", and he will reprise his role in this week's episode. "I'm pretty lucky to work on both CSI: NY and Supernatural," Buckley said. "Not bad gigs!"
