Rodriguez, La Rue & Togo On 'Miami' Love Triangle

Adam Rodriguez (Eric Delko), Eva La Rue (Natalia Boa Vista) and Jonathan Togo (Ryan Wolfe) talked to Zap2It recently about the love triangle that has their characters injection plenty of tension into Miami.

Togo explained the triangle has made the natural contention between Delko and Ryan a continuing storyline. "Adam's character and my character have always been a little bit at odds. It's just that competitiveness that people have at work, and it's sort of spilled over into our personal lives."

During "Dead Air," Ryan finally got the okay from Delko to date Natalia. She got to go home with Ryan, but will it last? "I think I'm the nerdy guy," Togo said. "I think I'm gonna lose. I get that feeling. But it's going to be interesting."

This season, CSI: Miami has gotten more personal, with storylines that have put the investigators under the microscope. Rodriguez is glad fans are getting a taste of the real Delko. "I think what people respond to over the long haul is the human condition, and sort of going through these people's lives with them. They tune in every week because they want to not only solve the case, but also deal with the character's lives. So it's been great this season to have some [character-driven] stuff."

As for the third leg of the triangle, La Rue said she wouldn't crown Ryan the loser just yet. "It'll be interesting to see where this triangle goes, because I think for Natalia it was more that she was hurt by Adam's character, and sort of pleasantly surprised by Togo's character -- he was so charming and funny and sweet about asking her out."
