Season Wrap-Up Bittersweet For 'CSI: Miami' Cast
By CarolinaMay 24, 2006 - 12:01 AM
The cast of CSI: Miami talked to Entertainment Tonight this week about the show's season finale and saying goodbye to each other.
"I think it is a bittersweet moment," said Emily Procter (Calleigh Duquesne). "It is the end of season four, and it feels as if I don't know what I am going to do without everybody for the summer. The first season, I was, 'I can't get out of here fast enough.' Now it's, 'Maybe we should stay together longer.'"
Miami wrapped up the season with a bang, literally, as one of the characters was caught in an explosion. "The explosion makes it a little more dynamic, a little more exciting," explained Adam Rodriguez (Eric Delko). "The explosion ends up pulling a few heartstrings. It also brings the reality of what a lot of these cops face every day -- the fact that something like this can happen at any given moment."
There's one thing that seems to happen constantly, and that is some bad guy going after Horatio Caine. This season the lieutenant was tormented by a Nicaraguan gang, the Mala Noche. "They are always after Horatio," said Khandi Alexander, who plays Alexx Woods. "Because he is the one who constantly brings them down and puts the pressure on them, they are always after him."
That means the fifth season of Miami will no doubt be packed with actions. Jonathan Togo (Ryan Wolfe) is already getting himself mentally ready for it. "I am going to sleep now that the season is over," he said. "I think next year is even going to be more exciting, adventurous and require more energy. I am going to eat a lot of pasta and carb-load."
