Anna Belknap Remembers 911
By CarolinaDecember 23, 2005 - 9:57 AM
Anna Belknap (Lindsay Monroe) while vacationing in her hometown talked to the local newspaper after the atmosphere in New York following the September 11th attacks.
"Everyone was just so terrified," the actress remembered. "You have to understand that we thought every day that something else was going to happen. People were afraid to ride on the subways. We all felt that we were living in the bulls-eye."
Just like her character, Belknap isn't a New Yorker. The Maine native moved there to pursue her acting career, which originally made her parents a bit apprehensive. "They have always been very supportive, but I think they were certainly nervous about me going to New York. I never felt that, but I think they did. And, in the beginning, it's about starving."
Nowadays, Belknap lives in Los Angeles with her husband Eric Siegel, who is also in the business. "It's great. You can't beat the weather. And, I'll always love New England. There is a lot of driving, though. It's a huge spread out metropolitan area, so you're always driving."
