Some things change, but others stay the same.
Writer-producer David Rambo spent two years researching the upcoming eighth episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation's ninth season. The episode, titled "Young Man With a Horn", is scheduled to air November 27. "It examines the thirst for fame and success in Las Vegas in two time periods: today's reality-show talent competitions, and in the waning days of Jim Crow Vegas in the 1950s," he explained to the LA Times.
Rambo said he loves to work with guest stars like Faye Dunaway, who appeared in "Kiss Kiss, Bye Bye" during season six. "Young Man With a Horn" gave Rambo the chance to work with several respected older actors. Robert Guillaume, Tippi Hedren, Ralph Waite and Hollywood producer George Schlatter are among the guest stars slated to appear in the episode.
In addition to CSI, Rambo wrote a play, The Lady With All the Answers, which is currently being performed at the Pasadena Playhouse. It is a portrait of advice columnist Ann Landers. On a more personal note, Rambo got married on October 18 to longtime partner Ted Heyck. "I started writing plays late and got into television late," Rambo said. "And now Ted and I can finally get married. Life has a way of working out in the end."
The original article is from LA Times. Information about The Lady With All the Answers can be found on the Pasadena Playhouse website. The date for Rambo and Heyck's wedding was taken from The New York Times.
