Rex Linn Hopes To Be In Main Credits By Mid-Season

Rex Linn, who plays Detective Frank Tripp on CSI: Miami, revealed why we haven't seen him in the main credits yet.
"That might happen to start the second half of the season," he told the Oklahoman. "When we went down to Miami to film the first two episodes, they got us all together to shoot the opening credits. But when the shoot memo came out, my name was not on it. CBS had decided that this was my first season on CSI: Miami."
Detective Frank Tripp was introduced to the show during the first season and has been seen in a handful of episodes since then. Receiving star billing took a while, but the actor learned from one of the stars that patience is a virtue.
"I felt like I was part of the family after nine episodes, because everybody always treated me the same on the set," he said. "David Caruso (Horatio Caine) told me to fly under the radar and not complain about a lot of stuff. So I hung in there, and it paid off. I'm having a great season. I couldn't ask for anything better."
Linn lists Miami as his biggest accomplisment this season and already has a head start on his New Year's resolution. "To be signed on as a regular for the fifth season on one of the hottest shows on television," he said.
