'CSI: Miami' To Shoot 25 Episodes This Season
By CarolinaMarch 22, 2006 - 7:53 PM
Last season, Miami showcased 24 episodes, two of them super-sized. This season the show is upping the ante with 25 episodes.
"We're doing twenty-five of these babies," said writer Corey Miller in his online blog. "We end up feeling a premature sense of accomplishment around this time, thinking we're done for the year, but then we realize: oh, we still have to come up with ideas for three more episodes!"
Miller co-wrote episode 22, but he didn't give anything away regarding the plot. His partner in crime, Brian Davidson, will get the chance to go solo in season 5. "[Davidson] has been our very diligent Script Coordinator these past four seasons. Brian is getting promoted to full time writer next season."
Miami's super sized season may have something to do with the show's popularity, which keeps growing not only in the United States but also abroad. The show was recently declared the most watched show on the planet.
"What an incredible honor," Miller said. "I spoke with Pam Wilson, who is our Publicist handling our international territories, and she told me that the show is licensed in over two hundred territories around the globe. That is mind-boggling to me. So thank you to everyone out there who support us by watching. We think of you all the time, and are humbled by your dedication."
