  • David Inman at the Courier-Journal responds to a fan asking whether Jonathan Togo (Ryan Wolfe) and Eric Szmanda (Greg Sanders) are related: "Two good-looking guys who work in Hollywood, yes. Related, no."

  • CNN looks back at the contradictions of 2004 in a retrospective article. "What can you say about a year in which the Federal Communications Commission levies a record fine for that aforementioned 38-year-old pop singer's bared breast -- but the violently graphic details of CSI-type shows were met with nothing but high ratings?" the news outlet asks.

  • Leslie Bega, who played Leah in three episodes of CSI's third season, has been tapped to launch SpyMac's new GreenZones forum.

  • Aisha Tyler (Mia Dickerson) has been named Best Versatile Actress by Zap2it's 'TV Gal' for her roles on CSI, Nip/Tuck and 24. David Caruso (Horatio Caine) received the Best Overacting gong, while Grissom and Sara were recognised for Best Requited but Never Acted Upon Love.

  • Entertainment Weekly's Ann Hodgman gave last week's CSI: New York episode, "Night, Mother" a B grade, rating it the best of the week's CSI outings:

    Ophelia is an excellent suspect with a gratifyingly creepy condition. Moreover, she's a widow who can't wake up, and Mac is a widower who can't sleep. Perfect! (Not that I want to see their love onscreen...)

  • The New York Post reported CSI's 100th episode was the third most-watched progam this year after the Friends finale and the premiere of Survivor: All-Stars.

  • Virginia Rohan at NorthJersey.com says she doesn't like watching TV know-it-alls. But, she thinks CSI sleuths Gil Grissom and Horatio Caine remain likeable despite the fact that they "love to pontificate".

  • Hill Harper (Sheldon Hawkes) is quoted in an article profiling his old law school class mate and rookie Democrat Barack Obama. "He could have easily gotten a Supreme Court clerkship and six-figure salary from any law firm," Harper said. "But he was committed to doing the work he wanted to do." Read the full story at MSNBC.
