'New York' Welcomes More Musical Guest Stars

Musicians flex their acting chops.
The 100th episode of CSI: New York, "My Name is Mac Taylor", featured appearances from Nelly and Chris Daughtry. These two men were not the first musicians to try their hand at acting on New York. In the past, the show has welcomed such names as Nelly Furtado ("Some Buried Bones") and Alison Sudol from A Fine Frenzy ("Can You Hear Me Now?"), and the most recent episode, "Help", included Alex Band from The Calling.
CSI: NY will add two more musical names to their list of guest stars with the upcoming appearance of Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz. The real-life couple will appear in the episode airing March 18. Wentz and Simpson-Wentz's characters are tentatively named Chester Byron and Lia Wickfield, and they are a "Bonnie and Clyde" type of couple.
Simpson-Wentz began filming on Friday, January 16, and Wentz was expected to begin this week. This is not the first acting gig for either musician. Wentz played himself in three episodes of One Tree Hill, and Simpson-Wentz had a recurring role on 7th Heaven.
