- A Nola.com reader recently wrote into the site's Focus Forum to ask whether William Petersen (Gil Grissom) wears a toupee on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. "That's his real hair," said a CBS spokesperson.
- Adam Rodriguez (Eric Delko) was one of the celebrities asked by the Chicago Sun-Times for his thoughts on St. Patrick's Day. "St. Patrick's Day should be a holiday because it's the only day out of the year where Rodriguez is an Irish name," he said.
- Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) is participating in a campaign by Climate Star to raise awareness of global warning. The text of Fox's ad is as follows:
Stranded.
No, it's not a new reality show. It's what thousands of species now face thanks to global warming. Habitats are changing along with the climate, and many species will disappear from their present homes while others may disappear altogether. We can slow global warming down if we take action now.
Global warming isn't cool. Stopping it is. Find out how you can make a difference. Visit www.ClimateStar.org.

- JorjaFox.net has posted an article looking at the actress's ER character, Dr. Maggie Doyle.
- Brad Johnson (Paul Newsome) told Zap2it he will soon be filming a pilot for ABC entitled Alaska. "I don't want to say CSI set in Alaska," he said. "This is about a guy who works for the state police. Because that country is so big and there are so few people, [the police] have to be pretty diverse. This guy's an investigator, and he's a cop, and it's a really well-written story."
- Nick Adams, from the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, criticised the portrayal of a transgender character in CSI's "Identity Crisis". He told the Sun-Sentinel the episode was about "an elusive criminal mastermind, a serial killer, where it's revealed that he had a sex-change operation from female to male, with creepy flashbacks and horror music behind it."
- An article at the Los Angeles Times looks at the recent rash of reality shows and the line-up for next season. The piece comments on how expensive drama series are to produce, citing ABC's decision to pass on CSI as an example of why networks are opting to schedule reality shows rather than scripted series.
- Richard Hatem, co-creator of ABC's Miracles, told The Oregonian he believes the series is the opposite of CSI. "CSI is about the exterior of the body," he said. "Miracles is all about the interior of the soul."
- Kurt Shearer, deputy director of the major crimes division at the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, recently praised CSI's accuracy. "CSI is a really innovative show with a touch of Hollywood," he said. "The main difference between fact and fiction is that our crime labs can't process DNA evidence in a couple hours like CSI can - it takes weeks." Read more at Oxford Press.
