Site Columns

Hello World!

Greetings all,

I'm Lisa, and I'm not a CSI Files editor, but I still have access to all the cool twiddley bits that make up the site and enable me to take over these site columns that you are currently reading.

I'm not, however, some random lunatic that wandered in off the street. I have a tenuous connection to this web site - in that I'm the token female on the staff. I'm the person who runs the discussion board over at Talk CSI.

Like the lads who you've already met, I come from Trek Nation; where I used to be a news editor alongside Caillan until we realised that we really needed someone to run our discussion boards and I got volunteered.

I got into CSI when Christian refused to shut up about how great this show was. Usually, when he goes on and on about something, it's one of those shows like Felicity or Dawson's Creek that annoy me tremendously. I saw that CSI was different, which meant that it merited further investigation. As I live in a Channel Five deprived area of the UK, I have DVD-only access, which is a bit of a pain, but still.

Shortly after I unwrapped the first DVD set, I realised the following things:

  • CSI is a very very cool show and I am addicted.

  • Sometimes Grissom's mannerisms remind me of Donnie Pfaster from the X Files, which is quite scary.

  • Grissom and Catherine have some serious chemistry going on.

If you haven't already, do check out Talk CSI. There you can talk about any aspect of CSI or CSI: Miami that takes your fancy. It's also built into the news system here at CSI Files, so you can comment on the news items you read here if you're a member. If you fancy life outside of the CSI-Universe, we've got off topic forums for you to hang out in; and a suggestions forum if there's something really bugging you about our site or you have a question.

To be the best place for CSI Discussion on the web, this board is missing one key ingredient. YOU. Yes, the BBS needs members like you to fill up its forums with content. Don't be shy. Share your opinion with other CSI fans! We want to hear what you have to say!

The best place to catch me with questions is over in the QSF Forum of Talk CSI. If you have problems registering or with some other aspect of the board, drop me a line at lisa@csifiles.com.

We will now return you to your regularly scheduled broadcast.

CBS will be showing CSI's "Blood Lust" at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time tonight. Here's the official synopsis of the episode:

Distracted by an attractive passenger, an Indian taxi driver feels his cab strike something at a suburban intersection. When he gets out to check, he finds a teenage boy pinned beneath the left rear tire, apparently killed on impact. The cabbie jumps back into the taxi to call for help, but a mob of angry onlookers - all of them white - drags him out and beats him for the crime. When Grissom arrives on the scene, he discovers that the teen has been eviscerated and has stab wounds, but shows no signs of having been struck by the cab.

Do remember to check your local listings for exact times though - as tonight's a NCAA night, which may result in schedule changes.
