Viewers Flock to 'New York'

Viewers flocked to CSI: Miami in droves last night to meet the character of this fall's CSI: New York, leading CBS to a ratings victory for the evening.
According to Zap2It.com, CSI: Miami was number one in its hour witha 14.5 rating/23 share. This means that 14.5% of households were watching "MIA/NYC--NonStop" last night at 10pm, while 23% of all households watching television at the time were viewing the episode. The episode introduced Gary Sinise's character Mac Taylor and his team of CSIs in New York.
CBS won the night, averaging a 10.1/16 for the evening overall, well ahead of second place Fox, which earned a 6.6/11. NBC, which usually claims the second place slot, fell to third with a 6.4/10, and barely beat ABC, which earned a 6.3/10.
Though the comedy pair of Yes, Dear and Still Standing only managed to come in at 4th place in the 8pm hour, CBS rallied the next hour with Miami's lead in shows. Everybody Loves Raymond earned a 10.4/16, while Two and a Half Men scored a 10.0/15. The pair came in first for the 9pm hour, ahead of NBC's Las Vegas season finale, which earned an 8.0/13.
