Jerry Bruckheimer And Danny Cannon Team Up For New CBS Show

October 17, 2006 - 5:28 AM

Jerry Bruckheimer and original CSI director Danny Cannon are reuniting to executive produce a project at CBS. The untitled hour-long show will be a “National Teasure”-esque action-adventure show about a wealthy benefactor funding a team of archeologists to find artifacts.

Matt Holloway and Art Marcum, who are currently working on Iron Man, will write the pilot and get a production credit.

Cannon is attached to direct the project if it receives a greenlight. Warner Bros. TV is producing via Jerry Bruckheimer Television.

Cannon was hand picked by Bruckheimer to direct the original CSI pilot. Bruckheimer suggested him to CBS after seeing some of his film work. Cannon, an executive producer on all three CSIs, has directed several feature films, including Goal! The Dream Begins and I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.
