  • Melina Kanakaredes (Stella Bonasera) will be a guest on The Jane Pauley Show on Monday, October 18. For air times in your area, head over to the show's official web site.

  • CSI's fourth season DVD set has been given the thumbs-up over at TVShowsonDVD.com. Here's an excerpt from what reviewer Gord Lacey had to say:

This show has one of the most distinctive looks on TV. The crimes are reenacted in wonderful detail; bullets and knives penetrate skin with quick zooms and cuts. With the show set in Vegas, in the middle of a desert, the picture is slightly washed out and over-exposed. The quality of this set is comparable to the past 2 sets; beautiful anamorphic widescreen that really shows off the quality of the production.

The set is available for purchase online from Amazon.com.

  • TV Guide's Watercooler column briefly mentioned last week's CSI episode, "Harvest": "Hey, didja notice President Palmer's scheming brother/chief of staff from 24 playing the pedophile? Creeeeepy."

  • The South Flordia Sun Sentinel's Celebrity Q&A section deals with William Petersen's (Gil Grissom) comments about the CSI spin-offs. Asked whether the actor is intending to leave the series, the column says: "With a paycheck of $500,000 per episode, the 51-year-old actor is not likely to quit anytime soon."

  • Screencaps from "Harvest" are now up at Jorja Fox Online, while images from "Down the Drain" are available at the William Petersen Appreciation Page.

  • Jonathan Storm's latest column at the Philadelphia Inquirer examines the flood of viewers away from reality television back to scripted series. In the article, he briefly mentions the success of the CSI phenomenon.
