Official Details For Tonight's 'CSI: Miami'

After repeating "Pro Per" last week, CSI: Miami is returning tonight with the new "Cop Killer." But the fans' relief at getting a new Miami fix may be short-lived, as "Cop Killer" will also be the last new CSI episode to air this month.
The three CSI series already went through a long rerun period during the Christmas holidays. Even though these are now over and viewers have returned to their televisions again, CBS still can't afford to air only new episodes, as only about a dozen are left this season for each of the three
For now, viewers will at least still be able to enjoy "Cop Killer," which airs tonight at 10:00pm. Here's how CBS describes the episode in a press release available at the Futon Critic:
The "Cop Killer" writers were Steven Maeda and Krystal Houghton. Maeda is a veteran Miami writer who this season alone has already penned "Pro Per,", "Hell Night" and "Pirated," while Houghton is assistant to the CSI: Miami writing staff. With this episode, she marks her first produced teleplay.

On Wednesday at 10:00pm, CBS will be repeating CSI: New York's "Officer Blue," in which a New York City police officer is shot off of his horse, and the only shard of evidence is the bullet lodged in the officer's horse. Mac is forced to choose between saving the horse or being able to analyse the evidence.
A day later, CBS will be showing a rerun of the original CSI's "Swap Meet" at 9:00pm. In this episode, the CSI team investigates a murder victim found floating in a gated community fountain after attending a neighborhood swingers party. The evidence reveals that the victim had sex with multiple partners, which helps the CSIs track down the crime scene to a neighbor's backyard.
And finally on Friday, the original CSI will return again with a special repeat of the fourth-season episode "Bad to the Bone," which features Grissom and his team investigating Walter Damian - an evil loner who dies while in police custody after beating a man to death with his bare hands. After the suspect’s death, the team makes a shocking discovery linking him to an unsolved missing person’s case.

During a routine traffic stop, a police officer is murdered and now Horatio and the team must track down the killer. The only witness to the murder is a civilian who was doing a ride-along with the officer, but who is now missing. Roadside evidence leads the CSIs to Missy Marshall, a teenage girl who was with the killer at the time of the murder. However, as the team searches for the civilian and the killer, they find that Missy may have been more involved with killer and the shooting than she is admitting. Meanwhile, Horatio and Rebecca's relationship is in jeopardy when they don't see eye to eye on a case.
The episode was directed by Jonathan Glassner, who's been working on the show as consulting producer and has co-written episodes such as "Blood Moon" and "Invasion." Although this is the first CSI episode he's ever directed, he's previously helmed episodes of series such as The Outer Limits, Stargate SG-1 and The Invisible Man.
