Eddie Cahill On Being Called A 'Hunk'
By ChristianDecember 16, 2004 - 8:34 PM
After being being cast as the Cute Boyfriend on both Sex and the City and Friends, Eddie Cahill (Det. Flack) shouldn't be surprised to be tagged as CSI: New York's main hunk. But when asked about it recently by a female reporter, Cahill seemed almost embarassed.
"There are worse things people could say," Cahill laughingly admitted, after reporter Ananda Lewis of the syndicated Insider TV show refused to let him change the topic. "It's positive, so it's nice. But I can't rely too much on stuff like that to wake up in the morning."
Lewis asked him what it was like to have played the love interest of several beautiful women on the previous shows he appeared on. "With Sarah Jessica Parker [Sex and the City] and Jennifer Aniston [Friends]?," Cahill asked. "That was nice. That was unbelievable. But I was so new to it all at the same time. So half of me was like a deer in the headlights, and the other was just blown away."
These days, Cahill is able to stay with his feet on the ground, thanks mostly to his favourite person he likes to be with when he's not filming. "I spend most of my time with my girlfriend," Cahill said, undoubtedly shattering the hopes of many female fans.
Cahill and his girlfriend live together in Los Angeles, where most of CSI: New York's scenes are filmed. But despite not being able to go to New York that often, Cahill is still very happy he's working on a show that's set in his hometown. "I guess I'm proud. I'm absolutely proud of New York. Especially growing up there and having the opportunity to play a New York detective."
