Official Details For Next Week's New Episodes
By ChristianOctober 16, 2005 - 8:55 PM
Ahead of the new television week, CBS has issues its official press releases for the three CSI episodes airing this week.
On Monday at 10:00pm, CBS will be showing what's already the fifth CSI: Miami episode of the season, "Three-Way." This is what you can expect from the episode:
Three suburban housewives on a girls' weekend in Miami are the prime suspects when the hotel's handsome pool boy is found murdered. When Horatio is tipped off that his team is facing a surprise efficiency review, he must trust Calleigh, Delko and Ryan to work together to find the killer. However, when they independently follow the evidence, each discovers that their analysis points to a different killer.
"Three-Way" was helmed by Jonathan Glassner, the writer-turned-director who last year already worked on episodes such as "Cop Killer" and "Game Over." This episode marks the CSI debut of screenwriter Marc Guggenheim, who joins the franchise after having worked previously worked on shows such as The Practice, Law & Order and Jack & Bobby, and who co-wrote this episode with Miami veteran Ildy Modrovich ( "Legal," among others).
The following actors will be making a guest appearance on "Three-Way:"
- Rex Linn as Det. Frank Tripp
- Eva LaRue as Natalia Boa Vista
- Vincent Rivera as Armando Diaz
- Corey Stoll as Craig Seaborn
- Amy Laughlin as Erica Sikes
- Grainger Hines as Chief James Burton
- Rachel Crawford as Beth Jacobson
- Lisa Thornhill as Felicia Hardy
- Christina Chambers as Yvette Travers
- Laimarie Serrano as Blanca Rodriguez
- Greg Dohanic as Foster
- Boti Bliss as Valera
- Patrick Fischler as Vince Nolan
- Jon Hamm as Dr. Brent Kessler
- Cassandra Creech as Officer Jordon
- Colette Kilroy as Debra Brawley
- Jack Yang as Shawn Kimsey
- Linden Ashby as Steven Hardy
Rex Linn, Eva LaRue, Amy Laughlin, and Boti Bliss are all recurring actors on CSI: Miami, while Greg Dohanic will be joining that recurring actor club as per this episode, which marks the second appearance of his character Foster following last year's "Addiction." Soon you'll be able to add both Grainger Hines and Patrick Fischler to that list, as they are both scheduled to appear in next week's episode as well.
Of the other actors, four have a previous connection to the CSI franchise, all through the original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Corey Stoll played a Clerk in last year's "What's Eating Gilbert Grissom?," while Lisa Thornhill last year was Chloe Daniels in "Nesting Dolls." Going back a bit further, Christina Chambers appeared as Vicki Mercer way back in the first-season episode "Unfriendly Skies," and finally Linden Ashby played Det. Drew Wolf in the third-season episode "A Little Murder."
On Wednesday at 10:00pm, CBS will be airing CSI: New York's "Corporate Warriors." The network describes the episode as follows:
When a man collapses and dies in the middle of the annual San Gennaro festival in Little Italy, the team must investigate how the victim ended up with a wood sliver in his heart. The San Gennaro festival draws over one million revelers annually, making the site a tough crime scene to process. When Stella and Danny are called to investigate a murder at this site, the clues lead them to a pool hall destroyed in a brawl. Meanwhile, Mac and Lindsay investigate the murder of a CFO found decapitated on a bench in Central Park. The investigation leads them to a financial office where the executives practice martial arts competitively. Also, Dr. Hawkes and Det. Flack investigate a suspicious apartment fire that kills a 10-year-old chess champion.
This will be the third CSI: New York episode for director Rob Bailey, following last year's "Outside Man" and "Crime and Misdemeanor." Executive producer Andrew Lipsitz has sole writing credit on this episode -- he has previously worked on episodes such as "Tri-Borough" and "What You See Is What You See."
Below is a list of "Corporate Warriors" guest actors:
- Ron Yuan as Dr. Evan Zao
- Paul Schulze as Luke Robertson
- Lori Petty as Maddy
- Tony Schiena as Paul Martin
- Katheryn Winnick as Lisa Kay
- Karen S. Gregan as Karen Walker
- Javier Picayo as Tom Nikkos
- Devin Brochu as James Walker
- Ramya Pratt as Nina Robertson
For a CSI show, this is a rather small guest cast, and the result of this is that besides recurring actor Ron Yuan, all other actors are completely new to the CSI franchise.
As usual, the final CSI show of the week is the original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, of which the episode "Gum Drops" will be airing on Thursday at 9:00pm. This is the network's official synopsis for the episode:
The CSI team suspects an entire family has been murdered, but cannot prove it until they find the victims' bodies. When the blood evidence suggests only three people were killed, Nick is the only one on the CSI team that believes the fourth family member, the young daughter, is still alive. Now, it's a race against time to find the perpetrators who may lead the CSIs to a possible survivor.
This episode was directed by Richard J. Lewis, who most recently helmed "Iced." Screenwriter Sarah Goldfinger last season worked on episodes such as "What's Eating Gilbert Grissom," "4x4" and "Hollywood Brass."

Meanwhile, Mark Pellegriono played Jed Gold in the second-season CSI: Miami episode "Hurricane Anthony," and Don Michael Paul appeared as Mason Shaw that same year in "Hard Time."
