Emily Procter Goes From Bullet Girl To Rock Star

This summer, while most CSI stars are getting a most needed rest, Emily Procter (Calleigh Duquesne) has decided to put her badge away and dig her fishnet stockings out.

The actress recently started an 80s cover band called White Lightning with friend and Miami stand-in Annie Livingstone. "The whole idea for the band started while I was singing along to songs with a friend in my car on the way to Palm Springs," she told Inside TV. "I’ve never actually sang onstage before, so it should be fun. I’ve just got to fit it in somewhere between shooting a feature film and flying to London to visit some friends."

White Lightning's first performance took place on May 18th in the LA club Largo. Procter's onstage persona, Brittany Wednesday, sang 80s power ballads and recounted the comic details of a high school love story. For Procter, who claimed to be terrified about singing in public, the band is all about overcoming her fear, but mostly having fun. "Calleigh is so quiet and serious, and I love playing up that side, too, but I miss being outlandish," the actress revealed. "I miss making people laugh – and this band is as much about humor as it is about singing."

Calleigh's recently dour demeanor, however, has not disillusioned Procter's spirits, and despite the season finale storyline that may have left Calleigh jobless, the actress is happy with the opportunities her day job provides. "It’s a nice feeling having regular work. I want to have a home. As an actress, security is important."
