Eric Szmanda (Greg Sanders) recently landed a gig opposite Mary Tyler Moore in the CBS holiday flick Snow Wonder.
"It's basically a movie about how it miraculously snows everywhere in the country [and how] that affects people's lives," said Bela Bajaria, CBS's senior vice president for movies and miniseries. "It's four different stories set in four different places in the country. Each story is about a different relationship and has a different tone, but thematically it's about showing the changes that happen in each relationship caused by the freakish countrywide snowstorm."
Though the details of Szmanda's character have not yet been released, it is known he will portray Moore's son in the movie, which was shot in New Orleans back in July of this year. Moore is most famous for her role as Mary Richards in the 70s television series The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Snow Wonder also stars Camryn Manheim, Poppy Montgomery, Jennifer Esposito, Jason Priestley, and David Sutcliffe.
Aside from shooting the holiday movie, Szmanda also spent his summer vacation sealing a $2.5 million deal on a house in Sherman Oaks. According to the LA Times, the property features four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms, a pool, a spa, a cabana, an outdoor fireplace and sits on slightly more than an acre. The actor's previous home, located in Studio City, was sold for $1.5 million.
The original report for Snow Wonder can be found in the Times Picayune. To read more about Szmanda's new home, visit the LA Times.
