Gary Sinise (Mac Taylor) will next year appear as one of the voice talents in the new animated movie Open Season.

The film revolves around the life of Boog, a grizzly bear that was raised in captivity and leads a tranquil and sometimes lazy life as a result. But when he's released into the wild during hunting season, the animal has to rely on his natural instincts, which are nearly non-existent due to his peaceful upbringing, to survive.

Sinise will provide the voice of a hunter named Shaw, who is motivated by his paranoid belief that all animals are out to get humans. "So we have to get them before they get us!" Though actor lent his voice to the 1996 TV series The West, he has never been featured in an animated film.

Open Season also includes the voices of Martin Lawrence, Ashton Kutcher, and Debra Messing. Apple.com has a special preview of the movie, in which Sinise's voice can be heard.

Open Season is set to hit theatres in September of 2006. For more information on the project, visit the movie's official website.
