Looking for an unusual Christmas present? A New York judge and his father have just published a family tree of Greek mythology. The book has been in the works for almost 40 years and consists of 72 segments.
While we're on the topic of history, the Boston Globe has an interesting article on Incan "quipus" or "khipus". A professor at Harvard has a new theory that these knotted strings weren't just for record keeping - they were also used as a way of preserving literature.
