CSI: Miami will soon be getting a visitor from outer space.
Ben Browder, star of the recently cancelled sci-fi actioneer Farscape, is slated to appear in an upcoming episode of the CSI spin-off, his agent confirmed to CSI Files.
News of the actor's guest appearance first emerged at a science fiction convention held in Portland, Oregon, from April 5-6. According to a report at the SaveFarscape.com message boards, former Farscape star Wayne Pygram told fans Browder had recently filmed a guest role on CSI: Miami. No information on the episode or Browder's role is available at this time.
On Farscape, Ben Browder played Commander John Crichton, a human astronaut who is flung to the farthest reaches of the universe during a test flight. During the show's four-year run on the Sci-Fi Channel, Browder received four Saturn Award nominations for Best Actor in a Television Series, winning the gong in 2002. Although a fifth season was planned, the cable network cancelled Farscape late last year.
The actor's other credits include the recurring role of Sam Brody on Party of Five, as well as appearances in the films Memphis Belle, A Kiss Before Dying and Nevada.
CSI Files will bring you more information on Ben Browder's appearance as it comes to hand. The above image is copyright of the Sci-Fi Channel and is courtesy of BritAngie's Ben Browder Corner.
Update: Browder will play Danny in "Tinder Box", which centres around a fire in a nightclub. The episode will air May 5 on CBS.
