CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and CSI: Miami last night took home an Emmy apiece when the Creative Arts Awards were presented at the Shine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

After three consecutive nominations, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation's audio wizards finally won the Emmy for Outstanding Sound Editing for their work in "Fight Night". The team beat off competition from Alias, ER, Third Watch and 24 to take home the gong.

The sound team which won the Emmy was made up of the following crew members: Mace Matiosian (sound supervisor), David Van Slyke (sound editor), Ruth Adelman (sound editor), Jivan Tahmizian (sound editor), Sheri Ozeki (music editor), Joseph Sabella (foley artist), Zane Bruce (foley artist).

CSI: Miami's camerawork was also lauded at the Creative Arts Awards, with Michael D. O'Shea receiving the Emmy for Outstanding Cinematography for a Single Camera Series for "Simple Man". O'Shea triumphed over Alias, Six Feet Under and The West Wing to take home his first Emmy after four previous nominations.

While CSI: Miami received only one nod, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation had been nominated in three other categories: Outstanding Make-up (Non-Prosthetic), Outstanding Make-up (Prosthetic) and Outstanding Single-Camera Sound Mixing. Those categories were won by Alias, Primetime Glick and ER.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation still has a chance to scoop two more Emmys when the Primetime Awards are presented on September 21. The series itself is up for Outstanding Drama Series, while Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows) has been nominated in the category of Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. The telecast of the Primetime Awards begins at 8:00 p.m. on FOX next Sunday.
