Doing A Little Bit Of Soul Searching

Josh Berman sells a show that is to die for.
Berman spent six seasons working on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He now acts as consulting producer on the Fox show Bones. In the past, he also created the series Killer Instinct and Vanished for the same network. Now, Berman will have yet another series on Fox.
Drop Dead Diva is a legal drama with a side of comedy. The show, from Twentieth Century Fox TV, revolves around a woman who is training to be a model until she dies suddenly. Her soul then moves into the body of a less-attractive, overweight, female attorney.
"It's about deconstructing the beauty myth while discovering what's really important in life," Berman explained. He was once a story editor on the NBC comedy M.Y.O.B, and he has a past in the legal system, so Drop Dead Diva will make use of Berman's skills. "This show brings me back to my comedic roots," he said, "and as a former lawyer, I look forward to exploring this arena."
